For parents
I am a mum of three young children and I understand the pressures of everyday life and with all the will in the world, supporting your children in their learning can be hard. I am here to provide support and advice, this can include:
Getting ready for school workshops.
Learning through play activity ideas to develop communication and language skills, fine motor development and early Maths skills.
Introduction to Phonics for preschool aged children and parents.
Phonics and reading support for 5 to 7 year olds.
These can be done 1:1 or in groups, face to face or online.
My top tips
1) Quality story time with your child everyday.
2) Lots of play with small objects, fidget toys and play dough to develop finger strength and hand-eye co-ordination.
3) Encourage your child to get themselves dressed and clean themselves, to start developing independence.
4) Try to get out and about to preschool groups and clubs, to start building your child’s confidence in new settings and different people.
5) You should start to learn your pure letter sounds, as it is hard to break bad habits with the children!
